Mel Brooks is an American writer, director, actor, producer, comedian, and composer. He began his career as a comic and writer for Your Shows of Shows along with Woody Allen, Neil Simon, and Larry Gelbart. He has also written the hit comedy series Get Smart with Buck Henry.
