Hugh Downs (married for 73 years)
Hugh Downs was a regular part of television and radio from the 1940s to 1990s as he was an acclaimed broadcaster, announcer, and host. Moreover, he held the world record of most hours on commercial network television throughout his career. He was also a co-host and anchor for NBC News and ABC news.
Downs got married once in his lifetime and stayed dedicated to his wife. He married Ruth Shaheen in 1944 and stayed married until she passed away in 2017. The two had two children together, Deirdre and H. R. Down passed away at the age of 99 in 2020.
