Kelly McGills is widely known for playing the role of Rachel Lapp in Witness. She is a stage and screen actress who has received Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for the same role. Apart from that, McGillis has worked with well-known actors like Tom Cruise and Jodie Foster.
She attended Juilliard School in New York to study acting where she met Boyd Black. The couple got married in 1979 but later divorced in 1981. A few years later after her second divorce from Fred Tillman McGillis came out as a lesbian in 2009. She entered into a civil union with Melanie Leis. However, the couple broke up in 2011.
