These Golden Age Stars Are Still Alive & Are Rocking It In Retirement!

Christopher Plummer | Age 90

The infamous character of Captain Von Trapp was played by Christopher Plummer. This led to the actor’s stronghold in the industry giving classics like Stage Stuck, The Last Station, and The Exception. The Canadian actor had a six decade-spanning career proving his metal winning several Oscar awards.

If you are a fan of a musical, you should watch his soothing The Sound of Music to relive the golden era of Hollywood.  Currently, the actor is enjoying his retirement years and lives with his wife, Elaine Taylor, in Weston, CT.

 

Max Baer Jr. | Age 82

Short for Max Baer, Maximilian Adalbert Baer Jr. is most famous for his role on The Beverly Hillbillies. The dumb portrayal of Jem Clampett got him type-casted for years to come. After a three years break from the show, he finally got to star in Macon County Line in 1974.

As of today, Max Baer, Jr is successfully venturing into business and building his empire. The typecast role in the Beverly Hillbillies resulted in him purchasing the franchise. This was the beginning of the installation of casino games and slot machines, making him a fortune.

 

Richard Dean Anderson | Age 70

The American actor and producer started his career in 1976 with General Hospital. In his early years, Anderson had the experience of playing guitar and singing in a rock band. Soon he got recognition for his role in MacGyver. Known to decline a role in the infamous Die Hard, Anderson starred in TV movies like MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis and Trail to Doomsday.

Weirdly enough, the actor dated plenty of women but never got married. He lives in various locations including, Vancouver, British Columbia, Los Angeles, and Minnesota. After his lack of appearance in the television and movies, his retirement was concluded.

 

Tippi Hedren | Age 90

Along with being a talented actress, Tippi has also worked as a fashion model and an animal rights activist over the years. As a model, she was on the cover of several magazines like Life and Glamour. She was discovered by Hitchcock post her TV commercial and kick-started her Hollywood life. The gorgeous actress starred in The Birds and A Countess. Her Hollywood legacy includes more than eighty films and a Golden Globe for her thriller performance.

Tippi also starred in TV shows, namely Charlie Chaplin’s final film. She retired from the spotlight to stay away from the spotlight. Currently, her granddaughter, Dakota Johnson, is taking Hollywood by the storm.
